So, are flight schools now establishing agreements with major/regional airlines for the JS?
I was flying Continental a week ago and saw a guy get the JS from Purdue University. He had a jacket that said: "Purdue University Flight Team". Nothing against the guy at all, just wondering if anybody knows how this all works? I haven't seen a whole lot of off-line pilots get to ride up front in while. Does CO do internships these days? If so, maybe that was it.

Did he have a hat that said "I am a flipping idiot, Gosh!"

And a shirt with a horse on it?:p

Yes, CAL has interns as does ExpressJet. These folks can and are required to ride in the JS as part of their internship.

Girls like pilots with skills. You know: Flight Team skills, computer hacking skills, nunchuck skills...

DOH!

I know who that is, and yes, he is an intern with CAL. He's a nice guy, and probably oblivious to the fact that he looked like a ginormous tool. The cockpit crew was probably too busy snickering to give him a friendly heads-up about the whole "you're in the real world now and nobody cares about landing a Cessna 150 on a line" thing.

I'll talk to him about it, but please tell me he wasn't wearing Ran Bans in the airport terminal though:D

My brother HH,

It's not a horse, it's a pegasus(sp).

Adios,

CB

Nah, he looked prefessional. White shirt (no tie), black slacks with shined shoes. Had his Flight Team jacket and a carry on bag.
I'm not flaiming the guy. If he is an intern then good for him! I think the crew was polite and curteous to him, well as fas as I could see they were.
