Ummm, no. Cheney was the perfect VP, and, if necessary, would have been the perfect CINC.

From 12 Sep 01, until Jan 09, the world learned a valuable lesson: Don't mess with the US. All over the world, there were train bombings, subway bombings, hotel bombings/assaults, but not a single drop of blood spilled on American soil from terrorist actions.

Does anyone seriously believe that will continue to be the case with the new residents of the White House?

Swine Flu is dangerous only in that it is a rapidly mutating form of influenza. Our youth and elderly populations generally get vaccinated each year against the versions of the flu that are currently a threat. This is what keeps the flu fatality rates so incredibly low that we laugh at the idea of a flu "epidemic". This swine flu, however, is a strain that our weaker members of society have not been vaccinated against, and our flu vaccines cannot protect them from yet. So, we have large segments of our population that could suffer incredibly from this flu bug. These people at the very beginning and end of their lives are not likely to be the ones coming in contact with pigs or farm workers (in our country, at least), but if the flu becomes widespread among the working and traveling segment of our population, then it will trickle down into the homes, hospitals, and nursing facilities where it can be potentially fatal.

Washing your hands is so simple. Go buy the Purell at the drug store and do your part.

The funny thing is that Palin would have fit nicely into that list had McCain gotten elected.:laugh:
