We have not had a good track record in this country in selecting our number two in command. Two republicans, two democrats, and not a single one turned out to be exemplary.

Swine Flu is dangerous only in that it is a rapidly mutating form of influenza. Our youth and elderly populations generally get vaccinated each year against the versions of the flu that are currently a threat. This is what keeps the flu fatality rates so incredibly low that we laugh at the idea of a flu "epidemic". This swine flu, however, is a strain that our weaker members of society have not been vaccinated against, and our flu vaccines cannot protect them from yet. So, we have large segments of our population that could suffer incredibly from this flu bug. These people at the very beginning and end of their lives are not likely to be the ones coming in contact with pigs or farm workers (in our country, at least), but if the flu becomes widespread among the working and traveling segment of our population, then it will trickle down into the homes, hospitals, and nursing facilities where it can be potentially fatal.

Washing your hands is so simple. Go buy the Purell at the drug store and do your part.

I think we found our solution to the social security problem. Maybe if enough elderly people get sick and pass away we wont have to worry about our social security being completely empty by the time the younger generations retire!

Vice President Joe Biden, called the closing of the Mexican border "a monumental undertaking'' and not an effective means of combating the spread of swine flu, offered his own personal prescription today: Stay off airplanes and subway trains.
The vice president said if one person sneezes on a plane "it goes all the way through the aircraft."

Since most union-lovin' pilots voted for him and Barrak, I guess YOU GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR... In addition, you get higher taxes that reduce peoples' discretionary spending and $10 TRILLION in added debt for your children to pay off. Are you happy now?
