TripleJ-

For Southwest, it's the same that's on their website.
JetBlue was
1000 hr in A/C over 20000 lbs
1000 hr Jet PIC and some other stuff. I stopped at the over 20000 point.
I can't remember if a type is required.
I'll put it to you this way, none of the companies that attended were hurting for applicants. Long lines with grim faces.
Air Inc. has another job fair coming up in a few months. Check out their wedsite for the details.
Good luck............We'll need it!

New Job Openings
This was taken from this website...

Came across these job openings with relatively low minimum requirements. Hopefully someone out here will make good use of them! Both are still current as I checked their websites.

Job 1: Dow Corning seeking 2 Pilots for it's Michigan operation.

Job 2: Southern Company Services is seeking a PILOT for it's Mississippi (Gulfport) operation.

Again, I hope someone out here can put these to good use.

GOOD LUCK!

Any truth to a rumor that ameriflight is hiring for a Dallas position?

yes, two Chieftan positions is what i hear. theres a bunch of movement at AMF for some odd reason...

No "bunch of movement" at Ameriflight, I know, I work there. Although there is some limited hiring even though there is almost no turnover. They had a few new runs added at some different bases. Dallas was one of them, they got a new PA31 run. I know they just bought another BE99, and rumours of another pending purchase. In addition, a few pilots had to go to Iraq for military duty. I heard that right now the need for pilots is mainly in Burbank. Oakland has had almost no turnover and no military call ups, so hiring is sparse there. So there is some hope of getting an interview, but it is competitive. Worth a try, it helps to have a recommendation from the inside. It's nice to have a job right now with a stable company that is actually seeing some growth despite the slow industry and weak economy.
