Jonathan Ornstein, CEO of Mesa Air Group, has become embroiled in a dispute over beach usage in the Los Angeles area.
Ornstein, the most visible executive in the new Hawaii interisland air carrier go!, appears with the Palisades Beach Property Owners Association in a lawsuit filed Friday seeking a court order to block approval of a public beach near their own beachfront homes.

The City of Santa Monica plans to make a public park of the Marion Davies Estate on Pacific Coast Highway with funds from the Annenberg Foundation.
The property owners association and Ornstein, who is separately listed according to the Santa Monica Mirror, say the plan violates the California Environmental Quality Act. A lawyer told the newspaper that the plaintiffs actually support the park but sued because the city won't commit to specific restrictions on park usage including hours of operation and liquor usage.
The Mirror quoted a supporter of the project as saying a $28 million gift to the people of Southern California was under threat from wealthy neighbors who are "kicking sand in the face of the project."

Hope he loses this one, and loses the one with Hawaiian.
