I think it was 16204 for the 3201. That's reaching way back though...I'll check though.

Edited because someone beat me to it!

15322 max ramp on the 31

15212 max takeoff.

(sigh) one of the many things burned into my long-term memory...
external power...
generators...
avionics...
air/ground...
cooler flaps...
contam...

Go AWAY!!! I DONT WANT TO REMEMBER YOU ANYMORE EVIL JETSTREAM.

;)

An' If I remember right, the material sandwiched in the flight-deck windows that goes warmy, warmy when sparky, sparky is applied is called:

Indium Trioxide.

....Wow...

16,204 is right
and MAX Ramp weight is 16,314

I wouldn't try to take off with that though. We always seemed to top out at 11,000 or so at 140-170 kts cruise IAS before putting out. And that was at the SRL's max with 100% prop speed.
I hope you find yourself in a jet....soon. Be careful in the J-Ball.

"Blue Ridge XXXX, can you give me FL190 today?"

"Sorry, we can't give you FL anything today. How does 13,000 sound?"

Man, you guys must have had some weak -32s. I've flown about 25 different 32s and they would all do at least 220 IAS at 11,000 with the speeds up, and quite a few would be bumping 250. In my experience a full J32 at 100%RPM should do much better than this. Granted, the Jetstream aint the greatest performer out there, but 250KTAS in the mid teens is pretty normal. 140 at 11 makes me wonder if you left the wheels hangin' :)

No matter what you say about the Jetsteam it's still the best looking 19-seater built!

As one of my 3200 instructors put it. The Jetstream is an association of loose and spare parts flying in close formation.

No kidding...
Ours were the old Eagle machines (Super 31's), but were certified for our certificate as 32's. At least that is what Reflectone told us. 19 people, a mess of bags and a full pod. Off we went.

It was a great little plane to learn to be an airline pilot on, and it makes what I consider to be the finest pilots out there. Since leaving the J-Ball I forgot how to fly. You must've been a Reflectone product too, calling them "speeds". I can't tell you how many times we got corrected for that! Anyway, I'm glad I flew it, but even more glad that I don't anymore. Every time I see some Corporate Airlines guy, I feel for them. They sure have my respect!

The Super 31 and 32 are the same thing. Super 31 was BAe's marketing name for it.

I only ever did one recurrent ride at Reflectone, all my other training was FSI. I flew J31/32s for about 3 years up until 2000 for USAirExp an thought I'd seen the last of the beast, then I went and spent 900 hours of last year in them! It's a fun airplane until you start looking at 6-8 legs of 200 & 1/2, ice, mod turb, and tops at FL250. Then it gets challenging.

Anyway, I flew my last Jetstream flight (again) on December 22 and now I'm off to fly a BE200 half as much for more money. Should be quite a difference.

Ship 618 Flywrite? Glad to hear the B200 worked out...Missed you in CLT the other night.

618 it is, taken my last day. I figured I'd better get a picture of it before they just decided to push it off in a pit!

I start the 200 gig next week. Sounds like it's going to be a pretty decent job. Very few overnights, more $$ than CFM, and a couple of new airplanes on the way. Sounds like I'll be typed in either a BE300 or C550 by summer!

Do you have my home number??

The History and my memory of ACA J32s

Here is a brief history of ACA's 32s

Most of the Birds were orginally from Westair.

There were 4 that came form Eastern Metro Express-the Grey ones (492-494)and 495UE which was white. They were 31 1/2s as were 470UE-474UE. This means they were originally slated to be J31s but in the end became J32s. You could tell by the old style control yokes and the single wingtip nav lights which ones were 31 1/2s.

We also had had two from Pan Am express A/C 496 & 497

370MT was a loaner from BAE and a 31 1/2

The oldest was 470UE built in 1988 and 491UE was the newest being a 1991 model.

I generally got 250 kts to about 10000. Went to the low 20's often on the way to HPN where the 160-180kts would kick in. Generally about 210--200 in the low teens.

Sorry for this rant but the thread got me sentimental and I am and airplane geek. Someone may be able to clarify my info (if anyone really cares) and please do. My last flight in the Sweatstream was NOV 99 so my info is old..

In a pit she shall go!!! Hopefully I'll be there to see that, or at least get some pictures! Most electrically screwed up a/c I have ever seen!

The only reason the Brits don't build computers is that they have not yet figured out how to make a computer leak oil.

Two jetstream pilots saluting each other...
You both stick your index fingers in your
ears and scream "What did you say?" at
each other!

I wonder what its like to fly an airplane
that you don't have to wear headsets in...
