Could someone give me the JetBlue training timeline? Is it something like 8 days indoc, 10 days ground school and 12 sim days? 6 weeks long? I'm guessing. Any breaks in training?

Any insights from someone who has been there?

Thanks in advance.

Training is around 6-7 weeks depending when you checkride is. We only had 1 weekend off, a Saturday-Sunday off. some of the guys in class didn't get that. It just depended on the sim times and days.

In January the training department changed the course to provide us with some time off, everyone will get a two and three day brake, also single days off during the training event.

The first 2 weeks are indoc and ground school. Then a week of Systems Trainers, a week of Procedures Trainers, then Sims and the Check.

My schedule worked out that we got 3 2 day breaks and one 3 day break. I went home (east coaster) each time. Definitely make sure you get away and have some "fun" time while your down there bc it is a very compressed schedule. BTW, the training is much improved over what it had been over the existence of the co and was a very good exp and a good time. Hope you enjoy...

Good luck

Don't forget the month long cleaning course.
Good to see that they are giving time off during the training now.
Month and a half away from home was a little much.
I managed a trip home about 2/3rd's of the way through.
Best of luck to all.

B6,

You forgot to mention, we pay JBU for the cleaning course and for our hotel rooms during the extra month.
Happy landings.

No, no, we clean not only our rooms, but all the rooms in the hotel. It's part of our training for cleaning the cabin, and the hotel gives us a break on the lodging cost. It's a win-win for all concerned.

Thank goodness this came from a JB pilot and not from our pal Frontier1, otherwise, no one would believe it!!

WTG JointOps!

C yaaa

A while back the cleaning course was real bad. I had to retake crapper cleaning and dead bird removal.

If you do not show superb janitorial duties, you will not see a day off in training.

You might want to start cleaning dude or you may get laid off permanently:

Now that is funny as hell! LOL.............

I thought I was the only one to have a custom syllabus for cleaning. It was really embarrassing to be the only one in my class to require additional vacuum training.

Welcome aboard, PilotBob. The guys I have flown with have been very cool, just like the TEEWAY folks we flew with.
