JetBlue pulls back in EWR--- Discontinues TPA, adds an SJU down to 10 flight in June

Looks like Continental is sticking it to B6 in EWR. From the website and schedules loaded in airline computers JetBlue will pull out of the EWR-TPA market( 4 nonstops) , pull back a flight from PBI, FLL and add 1 SJU additional flight. In total the flights peaked at 16 and will be down to 11. I guess it is tough to compete with NY's hometown airline, seems as though the 757-300's are working well for the competition.

Also the load factors out of EWR for B6 are well below the system average and fares are less than from JFK so folks are just driving over instead of flying out of JFK with a higher fare... someone must have dropped the ball on that one.

Guess we need to learn more from a pocket session... will we close EWR?

Look at "buy tickets" starting June 1 and you will see the times we will be leaving EWR, quite a cut back.

Looks like 1 gate will be going back to NYPA and Continental to curb losses.
 
Aren't you quite the super sleuth? This all may be true, however I don't for one second believe you work at jb.

Uhh, you are simply wrong on every point, not a B6 pilot, and making totaly falicious statements.

You need to do a little more research and you will find a link to the electronic JetBlue flight schedule. This shows all our trips and we are scheduled to fly 2 daily roundtrips between TPA-EWR. This is the same flight load we are flying today, Mar 6th.

The error you received trying to book a flight on Jun 1st states one of three issues could be prohibiting you from buying a ticket on the requested date. One of the options are no seat are available because they are sold out. I can tell you the loads out of EWR are just fine seeing EWR has been my home away from home lately. Good try though.
 
I guess B6 should keep the master plan for EWR a secret...;)
 
Aside from the idiots posting material as flame bate I don't see what the big deal is all about. Carriers are always amending schedules based on need and profitability. B6 adjusting schedules means very little aside from flame bait.

Clyde and iBall, I salute you both. But why, may you ask is ATRedneck so silent? Did he learn anything at UT? Will he ... can he ... respond? And where is calfo? Could he be masterfully planning CO's takeover of EWR (or take back)? Could our reduction in flights from 2 to 0 quite possibly mean the end of jb? Will he hold the future of CO, and inversely, the future of all that I hold dear, my beloved jb, in his hands?
