This is the kind of company you aspire to:

Jetblue will fill your e-mail in-box with Ford&Harrison propaganda, they will allow their worms on the BoB list to freely fill your e-mail in-box with whatever lies THEY choose, they will feed you THEIR version of the "daily news" and anyone who DARES to lay out some simple facts or data will get a call from the chief pilot or even be required to RECORD a retraction for all the world to hear.

This airline is about as progressive as a 19th century coal mine.

That said, if you're looking for a FABULOUS, inclusive, sexy, non-judgmental, LGBT friendly place with no health insurance. This is the place for you.

this is what we are up against..guys that think we don't need any improvements. Silo 7 folks don't vote for Yates

The complicating factor is that what one pilot sees as an improvement, another may not. That's why, as I suggested in the last reply, it is indeed important to survey the group periodically to determine the most important priorities, and that is how I would plan to proceed. I think it is unrealistic to put every issue and every little decision to a pilot vote, but when it comes to big issues and/or periodic opinion surveys, pilot input is crucial. I have not yet researched the reports from years past, though if elected, I plan to read as many as possible. Learning is the one thing that I do better than anything else, and I do lots of it. Keep the questions coming, and thank you again for taking this process seriously!"

Jared is happy to be here because it is better than PSA. Jared is even more happy to be here because he spent less than 5 months in the left seat before he was down graded back to the right seat. Jared got hired and is happy with what jetBlue has to offer. Jared does not want to make jetBlue better for the pilots because Jared thinks jetBlue is fine how it is.

I do not support Jared.

Ah yes, the moat. That's one of my favorites.

6 year guy here. I don't hate it here. I enjoy my job. But we do need a CBA. New guys - This may be better than your last job but remember this is supposed to be a career destination. We need to make it into one and protect it as such.

Nowhere in any company literature are the words medical and insurance used in the same sentence. It is medical benefits, company self-insured, with flow through money laundering agents United Healthcare and Empire Blue Cross Blue Shield. It's common industry practice, but B6 chooses to lower the bar by compensating less for what is needed, to the tune of a pilot shouldering 50% of costs, while their major airline peers have negotiated this down to 18%.

my reason for this is that it is strategy by the company. They hire folks that are so excited to be hired out of the regional ranks, that they will not strive to fight for better benefits or union here due to it being much better than (insert airline here). Also when attrition strikes, and it will when the majors start hiring, they will be stuck without PIC to go anywhere else. Hopefully the individuals realize this and will help band together to get stuff improved. Not trying to stereotype either as I know 0pic guys personally here that are great folks that want improvements as well.

Agree. That is why they do it.

I dont doubt it, but that will bite them in the a$$ when everyone is on the top level of the payscale and no intentions of going anywhere. Like AA is currently
 
That idiot Yates got voted in. WTF. We had a guy up for vote in our silo that came from the DHL MEC and that idiot Yates got voted in. UGH. It's almost as bad as the day I found out that Obama got voted in. Now all of you old guys can say us new guys are idiots. Unfortunately these are my peers that voted him in.

He has not been voted in. The last election was just a runoff to narrow down the field. The final vote is going right now so vote for Clap. We have to keep this guy Yates (who incidently got 8th place his junior year at Delta State in Power off Landings in a flight team competition according to his website:puke:) off the PVC
