JetBlue has a state-of-the-art training center ready for prospective Delta, American, Southwest, United, and Alaska Airlines pilots.

Get your applications in and put the one thing on your resume that will put you at the front of the line for an interview with a real airline:

A jetblue seniority number.

Who do you work for? If it's JB, why did you go there?

Because JB and it's training center will be a stepping stone to those carriers.

Hired at jetblew in 02 after 9/11 altered my career path.

Cannot afford to leave with the time I have left.

This is no budding Southwest Airlines. They want you to think that, but they have no intentions of being labor friendly in any way except for what their consultants TELL them is good salesmanship.

This place has fought tooth and nail to make sure we have bottom of the barrel healthcare, retirement, vacation, paid time off, work rules, scope, etc. They call it the "Direct Relationship." They like to throw out median hourly rates and pat themselves on the back but you'll be working your ass off to make a decent wage. We have the WORST health plan in the industry hands down.

And if you're coming here for the culture don't bother. It is completely made up. In fact, it's a little weird.

Now, if you're coming here to polish up your resume for Delta, then put on a happy face, shave your sideburns all pointy, and wow them with your B.S.

This...Oh, and DON'T put on blue gloves to play janitor...contrary to what
"marketing" says, passengers DO NOT want to see pilots picking up their trash......

Most of the stuff you mentioned I've heard or been informed about. I'm already at a Legacy (but at one time had considered JB just because of my geographic location).. I was curious why you'd still work there if you hated it so much. (but understand the time invested along with age etc)...

Unfortunately there was a time JB looked like a really good prospect back in the early 2000's... Now they seem to have shifted gears.. Evident by things like the "bridge programs with Cape Air".. That is apparently in exhistance to get wide eyed rookies that won't rock the boat.

Maybe someday soon the union vote will work

This Cape Air bridge program is used by people to "show" that JetBlue can't find pilots or are looking for pilots who won't "rock the boat." If you really think that you are an idiot who can't see the forest from the trees. Cape air has a TOTAL of around 250 pilots. JetBlue is going to have to hire more than that next year alone. The Bridge program is someone's pet project, but not a viable way to staff the airline. Also, I have personally seen A LOT of United interns sling gear in an RJ for a year after instructing for 6 months before getting hired into the 757. If it wasn't JetBlue there wouldn't be a discussion. JetBlue has hired over 350 pilots over the last 3 years and about 2% have been from the "bridge" program.

Please don't post the truth....stick with the plan

Right from the passengers mouths... "leading edge". "I want my pilots to be pilots, not cleaners. They should be thinking about flying the plane."

Marketing has nothing to do with how you look like a mop jockey or maveric. That's all up to you.
