All,

Information Notice: 2009-F013TR (JUMPSEAT POLICY CHANGE)

We have slightly changed our jumpseat policy for the better, and more aligned with the TSA regs.

If CASS approved, you can now ride in the cockpit, even if a jumpseat is vacant in the back. But, you still have to sit in a normal cabin passenger seat if one is available.

Sorry for the years of having to ask you to sit in a F/A jumpseat, rather than the copckpit.

Your apology is a little unwarranted in my opinion.

JetBlue's jumpseating policy has always been one of the most liberal in the industry... from day one.

Give credit to the founders and their pro-pilot (and flight attendant) attitudes.

The "you have to sit in the back" mentality came from TSA directives that were taken a little too literally.

It's great to show up at the gate with an A320 and know that you potentially have five jumpseats available to you as a pilot (on line f/a priority for the cabin j/s).

All jumpseaters welcome... even the NWA guys who dished it out to us pretty heavy there for a while.

Thank you guys. Didn't really mind sitting in the back galley, was just glad to get to and from work. The JFK-MCO commute is a b*tch and you guys make it easier.
