Heard Hiring will be approx 290 for 2005. 24 classes of 12 in each. Classes to run every 2 weeks. Not sure for 06 but would expect it to be upwards of 400. Good Luck to all.....

What will be the 190 minimum requirements? Same as 320 mins?

Are we talking about cabin cleaners or professional pilots?

Hey Freddie

Let me ask you this..... would you be willing to straighten seat belts for your 30+% pay cut you just took? :D

Blue envy shows his intelligence again.....Get a life Freddie, or at least put a smile behind your posts:rolleyes:

Hey Freddie,

I didn't know you were a DAL pilot. No wonder you hate JB as much as you do........

see ya around NY

What is the time frame for the EMB-190 in 2005? Are you still receiving any Airbus aircraft?

Do you know what the route structure will be for the EMB aircraft, LGB etc.

thanks for the info.

First EMBs are to arrive Aug/Sept go online Oct/Nov. 7 EMBs in 2005 with 18/year on order thru 2008 with 100 firm/100 options. 15 A320s in 2005 with 17/year on order thru 2008. Total firm A320 orders as of Sept 30,2004 was 119 airplanes. Options for 2 more A320s still exist.

System bid supposed to happen summer (I think June/July 2005) after which fences go up prohibiting pilots from bidding betw airplanes for 2 years.

JB says they have identified 600 potential markets for the 190. They plan on using it as far as JFK-DIA (has up to 2200 nm range). will also use it where 1 round in a 320 may be not so full (complement 320 on some frequency). will use it to explore new markets but have said they would not go somewhere with it where it wouldnt be profitable. JB plans on keeping CASM on EMB190 just 1 cent more than A320.

Good god that's a bunch of hardware!

Now correct me if I'm off a bit here, as I've been hitting the vino a bit here...

but with the current fleet of about 70 planes and adding up all the orders and options mentioned above, I come up with somewhere in the range of about 500 planes by end of '08.

Wow!

Now, with that being said, just for fun, would someone post the fleet sizes for the other outfits, taking into account their announced plans as far out as they may be, as well as their current fleet size.

Not that this comparision means anything, but what the heck!

I Don't care if my face turns blue while I wait for a turn to interview, I'll continue to hold my breath.................;)

The figures of 233 A320's and 200 E190's include options and current aircraft, exerciseable all the way out to 2016. So it's not quite as much as all that.

Including only firm orders, the fleet will look something like this:

2004: A320 - 69
2005: A320 - 84, E190 - 7
2006: A320 - 101, E190 - 25
2007: A320 - 118, E190 - 43
2008: A320 - 135, E190 - 61
2009: A320 - 153, E190 - 79
2010: A320 - 171, E190 - 97
2011: A320 - 183, E190 - 100

There are no firm orders past 2011.

I would suspect the first "Batch" of E190 are going to do mostly East coast flying. BOS, JFK, IAD, FLL, MCO, and Up state NY stuff. Then, as A/C are added, you should see some new markets. Hopefully more midwest stations;)

It will be a total of 404 ordered and options. 204 A320's and 200 190's.
Correction: 233 A320 orders + options. 183 orders + 50 options. That leaves the ultimate total orders + options at 433, not including any lease returns.
