No. The background investigation contactor called me over a month ago and informed me they were just about complete with my package. So, I have no idea what the hold up is.

don't expect any call until 2 months from your phase 1. that is what i was told by others ahead of me. then i got to be surprised 1 week prior to the 2 months.

I don't plan on calling... I'm just going to wait it out. We still have 5 more days until the 2 month mark. I'm hoping that the delay has been caused by the fact that I've worked for 4 airlines in the past 5 years.... Still keeping my fingers crossed! A co-worker of mine who interviewed on the same day, starts next week on the 22nd, so that kind of has me wondering. Good luck to all that are still waiting.

I know the wait is long, but just hang in there. I waited 10 weeks for my call. No news is good news. You would hear if there was a problem....

Thanks for the info kencfii. I just heard the same thing from another JB buddy of mine. I was told that if my background package was not totally complete, my name will not go to the hiring board. I guess there's been plenty of guy who had to wait over 8 weeks.

Kill some time by cleaning your house...you know...so you're a step ahead of everyone. Seriously, good luck.

Also use this time to prepare to be gone for 6 weeks. ie; Pay bills ahead of time, hire a neighborhood kid to mow the yard, etc. A buddy of mine was called recently and had 3 days to be in Miami, due to a last minute opening.

Once you are called, you're sitting in class before you know it.

Md 80 and top bugs, I think Dogwood and I both waited 8 weeks, and it was a long 8 weeks. As much as possible relax and get some things done around the house, best of luck.

No. The kid is doing such a good job, I'm letting him keep the job. I've got enough to do when I get home. It's nice to come home and find it mowed.

I'm on a 29hr 4 day, right now. Sweet.

Yup, the wait is long, but you forget about it seconds after the call comes.

Hey TopBugs,

I got the same call last week, on Tuesday I believe. Well, it was worth the wait. Berna Kay called today and offered me a job. I opted to wait for the August 17th Embraer 190 class as my first choice and If they couldn't get me in that (I'd be a standby for the class), then the July 20th A-320 Class. Berna said she would call by Friday to let me know which I got. Wooooo Hoooooooo........ Heading out to celebrate.
