know someone who was going to be in class on the 20th but was cancelled. said there wouldn't be any classes till August. Anyone got some backround on this

Its hard to believe someone was given class on June 20th, I didnt think they called anyone for the class on June 6th yet. When did your friend interview and when was he called for class on the 20th?

I Seriously Doubt It

JB has at least 3 interview dates in June. Highly doubt they are cancelling classes

I have a June 6th class. My source asked for the 20th for personal reasons and just found out there will be no classes till august. But I know they are interviewing like crazy. Just trying to find out some info before I pull the trigger. Just doesn't look good with Neeleman steeping down too.

I had heard they shelved a few 190 classes, and all the classes through I think July were going to be for the bus. You're right about lots of interviews scheduled. One thing is for sure, their long range class planning changes on a dime. I remember last summer/fall they said no more bus classes for the year, then like a month or so later had them every month anyway.

As for Neeleman "leaving" without exception everyone at the company sees this as a very good thing. He's staying on as chairman of the board of directors, a role he has always been well suited for. But when it comes to the daily and medium range decisions and integrated operational leadership demanded of a CEO of an airline our size, you will not find one single person at JetBlue (that I know of anyway) who isn't thrilled that Dave Barger was selected to fill those shoes.

Agreed 100%. While I really like David Neeleman, I think his new position on the board will be better suited for him. As for day to day ops and running the airline, we could not get anyone better than Dave Barger. I think you will see some gradual changes going on here that will increase the health of our company and the ability to become a stronger airline.

if they are cxing classes it could be because they at one time expected more of the US Air guys to go back this summer but now because of the sen list integration that attrition won't happen - thus they can put off some classes for now. Just a guess.

its because they moved back deliveries of the 190 due to teething problems, therefore they moved all the 190 classes too. Airbus classes will continue as planned throught the summer.

You originally stated that your friend HAD a June 20th class date and it was canceled. Now you are saying he specifically asked for this class date as opposed to an earlier one and was turned down. So what did he elect to do? What was his original class date offer? When did he interview? When was he called?

For that matter, when did you interview? And when were you called for a June 6th class date?

Spill the beans, bro!

Holy $hit...all this traffic related to a change in classes....holy christ...relax! It's 'aint that big a deal. Go on with your regularly scheduled program. If you get called, you get called. If you don't, you don't.

Stay focused on the task at hand...not on a "maybe".

No classes in June and July was the original plan, as per the people running JBU. I was suprised to read on here that guys were being offered June classes to begin with...........

Thanks for the update guys..the info I got from a few here was close but not exact. In the training excel sheet on the pilots in training site, it is showing a new hire orientation scheduled for 6-20-07. Its still there as of tonight....strange!!

The excel doc on the pilots in training website is updated DAILY by training. On rare occasions its updated every few days but it is at least a few times per week.

Ultrarunner, its the doc that is updated, not the website.

Anyone else from April 13 Phase 2 still waiting to hear?

nothing yet!

still waiting. buddy of mine in training relayed an email to me stating the 6 June class will be the last one for a while...august, september. who knows, but i havent heard a thing from JB other than the phase 2 email on the 20th of Apr. we'll see what happens!
