Crap. The AA site shows 4hr 3min going and 3:55 coming back :bawling:

How about that 24 hr Aruba layover though?? :beer:
 
Even if it exceeds 8:OO block, they'll recognize that and make the layover as short as the contract will allow. Or failing that, they'll deadhead a crew for the return. AA does just that for DFW-Costa Rica. A bigger money waster I cannot imagine.

I'm sure it's because they're concerned about you. They don't want you getting sunburned, or "sick" from too many frosty beach beverages.
 
Yup, did many JFK-CUN turns for TWA. 8 hours block and commutable on both ends. It was a great pickup day. But the captains I flew with always complained....they were in the sun in both directions.
 
Of course when the CUN turns, it usually turns against you....
