Not to hijack the thread, but I didn't know if a whole new topic was necessary for the following:

At our JB instructor's meeting today, management was stating another 100 pilots will be hired for the rest of this year beginning this fall. They also anticipate needing up to an additional 240 pilots as a result of the new FAA rest rules that are around the corner. That's pretty much the near term projected hiring outlook in a nutshell.

There is your 'pay cap'........no open time....75 hr target.....

I guess they decided to push the retirement fix to next year (or the next year), so now they can hire with all the savings.

I think the POINT is that jetblew and the BoBs used the "pay caps" lie throughout the ALPA campaign.

It NOW becomes IRONIC to use "pay caps" when speaking about jetblew.

You see?

Nothing to get over. It's ironic, or hypocritical, or even deceptive if you like.

You see?

I'm available to hold your hand on these things anytime. Just let me know.

you didn't hear me the first time. GET OVER IT. If you want a union go work for a carrier that has one. AA or Pinnacle come to mind.

Is that how you operate in life? If you don't like something you quit? Quitters are weak, I choose to stay and make things better despite your apathy.

haha. sure you make things better. Let me know how the union drive works out for you. Talk to you in 10 years.

if there is open time you will moan about being understaffed.
if there is no open time you will moan about not being able to get extra hours.

Get over it.

It's about efficiency, Jenny. Oh, I guess you were not here during the 1330's, 27-28hr 4 days..commutable on both ends...21 hr 3 days......how long have you been here again?
