JetBlue Airways Flies Above $12 Technical Resistance
Wall Street Journal June 20 2006

JetBlue Airways (Nasdaq: JBLU) has finally flown above the $12 technical resistance level. The $12 price barrier that resulted after a JetBlue shares gap down open on February 2006 has left the stock with little opportunity for significant upside movement. However, the situation appears to be changing today, with shares of JetBlue are higher by $.71 to $12.24 on nearly three times average volume. JetBlue is receiving some strong interest after the airline sector got some positive comments from Merrill Lynch analyst Michael Linenberg. The analyst said in a research report that he may boost his earnings projections for several carriers and Morgan Stanley analyst William Greene also believes that the industry will outperform over the next year.

Give it one or two more posts and youll hear "Well when you sell 5 airplanes, of course your going to show a profit."

Actually the sale of those airplanes are written down off B6's debt.

Yeahhhhhhh Boyyyyyyy. I'm glad I didn't cash in my latest stock purchase. Keep it coming up baby!!!!!!!!

Found out from the pilot meeting in jfk that selling the airbii merely reduces debt. May be a small 2-4 million profit per aircraft, but the real and intended effect is to get rid of say 10-15 million in debt per airplane.

Another interesting tidbit: sure the 190 pay rate is gonna go up (may be for fos only) BUT the 320 rate will go up as well (not sure if he meant ca and fo).

We'll see.

Actually if the 320's reduce your bills you can show a profit with the extra cash you have on hand. SWA sold a jet back in 71-72. It paid the bills and allowed them to show a profit for the year. Maybe this is the start of 33 yrs of profit for you guys. Hope so I have some buddies there working hard.

Well that's great but wait until these guys have to start paying for their airplanes.

I watched a seatbelt get crossed. Then I had to have 15min sit.

You didn't leave out an "H" in your last word there, did you?

Yes, he ment to say "sith". Hey, where is the dark side on this thread? I am shocked by their silence. The worst we got so far was the not paying for the planes thing, and I think that was a joke. I'm paying 10 bucks a year on this forum for some action baby! yeah. If you anti B6 guys are going to give up so easy I might just go find myself a new forum. Don't think I won't do it either. I mean it. Now think of something nasty and do it quick.

The whole airline sector was up this week. The desperate need to trump a minor bump in the share price. Another round of asset sales should produce another thread like this in the future.

What was it trading for last year at this time?

.....Dude,
The funniest part of this is giving you a re run and watching you screw yourself into the ceiling. Since you are so rich, I shouldn't make you mad, because your country club might use my new janitor for hire services. Just watch the WSJ and weep Sparky, because I am a firm believer that it was your negative Karma that is putting us back in a decient financial position. Keep that hate coming until your anuerism bursts.
Blue to you,
