Before the move to Orlando from MIA, it had been a class of 14 every two weeks. The Last class that just started in MIA was staggered (three weeks form the last class) due to the move. From my understanding it will resume to being 14 every two weeks, until E190 classes start then it changes to more people threw ever month but I am not sure of class size for each equipment.
I believe that all newhires from June on have been given the choice of Bus Or EMB. Big thing is senority. Emb classes won't begin til August so if given the choice, take the first aircraft to get you on the list. After this, well, you'll probably have a choice. That is until the classes are filled and then you'll be assigned. However, this is new to jetBlue and I'm not sure of how things will actually play out.
Is there an aircraft type freeze at JetBlue? If so, how long is it? My impression from someone who is waiting for his call for a class date is that you're locked in type for a couple of years there. Is this true, or can you get hired on as a 320 FO and go to the 190 as soon as you can hold it?
