YOU GUYS PUT ON A NICE SHOW TODAY (12DEC06) AND HAVE A BEAUTIFUL FACILITY AT "JETBLUE U".
TO YOU BLUE WANNABES I STRONGLY SUGGEST YOU TRY TO GET TO ONE OF THE FUTURE OPEN HOUSE SHOWS IF YOU CAN.
LOT'S OF GOOD INFO TO HEAR AND FRIENDLY PEOPLE TO MEET!
NOT TO MENTION A GREAT TOUR OF THE TRAINING CENTER AND A 'FUN' POWER POINT SPEECH BY CAPT. CRAIG.......
ONCE AGAIN THANKS FOR HAVING US.........
AND A BIG
THANK YOU TO MS. V. KAY AND CAPT. PEHRSON FOR YOUR TIME.

Hit the caps lock man!!!

Seriously, glad you enjoyed it.

LOL...now that we have that out of the way. (thanks DD!!)

I would say about 250-300 folks there. Im glad I went. Why is there a pool at a training center?

The pool is out behind the building to the left as you come in the gate. Only time I used it was for the water landing drill. The first day welcome aboard get togethers are out there if the weather is nice.

Kissazz....

Smelly Cat I think your name says it all......

Happy Holidays to you just the same,

Capt. Z

PS: I was expecting a few flames, if I could'nt take it, I would'nt have posted a public thank you to the Jetblue University Team.... some of you guys just havent heard of "follow up" thank you letters have you?

PS#2: Just for the record because I know there will be a post concerning the subject soon to follow...............

I already do help my FA's straighten up the cabin on the really quick turns, one because I'm a nice guy and two because I married a "sky goddess" and she makes me do it :). The training instructor that gave us a tour of the sims said I can skip that lesson when I'm accepted and go home early from class one week.............

I'm bringing my favorite blue speedo.........

I've talked to a couple of people that attended. Both said it was an excellent event. They got the 10 cent tour of the facility, an excellent presentation by our CP, and the opportunity to sit with a recruiter for 15 minustes or so. The meet and greet with the recruiter is exactly what they would get at an AirInc event except it didn't cost a dime. SWA has been doing these open houses for while now. They make a lot of sense. Watch out Kit, we're helping to lower the bar on job fairs too.

Does anybody remember how many they plan on interviewing on the two days in February? I was told 200, but didn't ask if that was per day or total?

That being said, when do you think the calls will go out for interviews?

And THAT being said... the open hourse was super cool, thanks to the Blue folks for putting it on!

Not everyone there traveled on a jumpseat or drove from within Florida. My airfare/gas/parking cost alot more than one of Kit's job fairs.

Yup, Good showing by the nice people at JetBlue. I was actually surprised that there weren't more people there. Not that that was a bad thing. Now wait and see.........

You would have had to pay for that stuff if you went to one of Kit's job fairs too, plus the $195 entry fee.
