On Feb 28, Jet Blue posted a request for Pilots on AviaNation's job site. It just lists their standard requirements, but at least they're looking.

I doubt it...

Was it really JetBlue's posting or was it AviaNation's posting to make it look like they've got all the best job listings?
With as many applications as JetBlue has I find it hard to believe that they need to advertise.

I agree - the vast majority of the job sites are bogus for just this reason. jetBlue is overwhelmed with qualified apps - 10,000 jet with A320 type and after two years I can't get a call and lot's of other guys just like me out there waiting.

The ad lists JetBlue's requirements and has a link to their employment web site. I don't think they have to pay to list jobs on that site, but as has been said, it is possible AviaNation just posted it themselves??? I just saw it and thought I'd pass it along...

I see you flew the Bandit and the Irish Concorde. Are you a former Westair guy? If so, when did you work there?

For The Record

There are a lot of job fairs, agencies, and others out there that "advertise" pilot jobs at jetBlue. The bottom line; the only place to get a pilot job with jetBlue is through an application on the company website, www.jetblue.com (link Work Here).

And another poster stated that there was 10,000 A320 qualified applicants. Well, that is a bit off. I think (not for the record BTW) that the current application count is about 9000 total. I am sure that they are all not A320 qualified.

If you are interested in employment at jetBlue, run a search on this website. You'll probably spend the next week + browsing the hits you get.

C ya and good luck.

FWIW, (s)He has 10,000 hours of jet time with A320 experience and still no call. I had to read it twice too.

Whoops. It's been a rough day.

Anyway, the other numbers I gave are correct. I'll look a little closer next time.

Sorry for the confusion guys; my fault for not being more clear. Yes there are plenty of guys like me at US Airways with thousands of hours of jet time and A320 types who want a shot at jetBlue.

disgusted, to answer your question I flew for Westair back in 85-87, mostly out of the SBP base.
