Is this what we have to look forward to when everyone starts outsourcing maintenance to El Salvador like Jet Blue has been doing for years now?

Always takes an incident like this to open eyes...

PS...turn on the tv to msn or some other news network to see the latest. It's 0021UTC right now....so maybe it's over

Idiots. The pax can see all this on their seatback tvs. I bet they are scared sh+tless.

My prediction: a non-event. All will survive.

This is nothing. Leave it to the media to scare the crap out of everyone. We all know this will end up being a minor incident. Worst case, the nose geal collapses, the pax will be scared $hitless, evacuate, go home and eat dinner.

It's over!

Excellent landing and they stopped it on the centerline!

Good job!

Ok folks, there's nothing more to see here. Go home and get a life. Another case of media hype with a very anti-climatic ending.

How would you like to be just stepping out of the rear door when the nose collapses? Talk about a catapult......

I thought the same thing. I was shocked to see folks walking and standing underneath the plane...no thanks!

I didn't see the television coverage, but I'd venture to say they had the gear pins put in prior to anyone exiting the aircraft. Could be wrong, but I think that's pretty standard.
