JB.....come on buddy, that's not fair. 3000 hrs for a heavy guy or airline guy may not be competitive, but it is for a fighter....For a fighter pilot to get 3000 hrs, that takes, on average, about 15 yrs.
If you're saying that everyone needs to have around 6-8K hrs to be competitve, then NO fighter pilots will ever again be hired at JB. Now I know that would be perfect for a lot of guys, but that's not realistic.
I was hired less than a yr ago and had 2200 hrs (2800 with the conversion), so don't tell this guy he's not competitive because one, that's not true and two, it's unfair to someone who's reading this site and might make the mistake of actually believing you.
Sorry, like VP, I have no intention of hijacking this thread, but in defense of the fighter guys, and more importantly, people who are reading this site in hopes to one day apply to JB or other airlines, I don't want misinformation to be used as the basis for life decisons........
