I know this has probably been hashed over before, but I couldn't find it on a thread search. How many hours can a typical newhire excpect to be paid while on reserve? Once off of reserve, how many hours are easily doable for a commuter who likes to have a minimum of 13 days off? Finally, how long is the typical reserve time for an FO in LGB? I'm just trying to figure out how much I would make my first year if I get the job. Any info would be great.

Thanks.....

Ok, been a year since I was an FO but here goes;

reserve gaurantee is 75 hours and of those 5 are paid at time and half.
Min days off for reserve are 12 in a month. If you want to fly and are available you can fly more than 75 and get paid premium (1.5x) for those hours over 70. I think reserve time for FO's is a couple of months now.
Off reserve you can get 83-85 hours with 16 days off. More if your senior.
Reserve in LGB takes longer than JFK. Maybe some of the LGB Fo's can comment but I would guess it might be 6 months there.

Thanks for the info banger. I don't think many of the LGB guys spend time on this site because it's very hard to get any LGB info here. How many crews do they actually have out there now?

I just looked. There are 68 FO's and 63 Ca's listed at LGB. Most are probably out surfing today :-)
