What are the rates going to be for the EMB-190 when it comes online? If you have not negotiated these rates please take into consideration that the rest of the Industry will be looking at those rates and establishing their own when they get the Aircraft. So in other words please AIM HIGH.

Originally, right after the announcement, the powers at be called a pilot meeting to discuss the Emb-190 purchase. In that meeting David said "... and the pay rate will be higher than any 90 or 100 seat rate at the other airlines". Now, what hasn't helped is Duane Woerth's policy of not signing off on any contract that has pay rates for anything more than 70 seats for "regional" airlkines (ala CCAir). We really need some some cold, hard numbers to float around, and we haven't had a lot of help yet. USAirways' F-28 pay scale probably won't help much, seeing how my annual income isn't much less (relatuively speaking) than that of an 'Airways Bus Captain. Of course, all of this is a non-issue until the actual numbers are released, which may be a while seeing how we won't even get the aircraft for almost two more years.

I wonder if DW realized that this policy would lead to a non-union carrier setting a rate?

Respectfully,

I might be wrong, but I believe that DW signed off quite nicely on Mesa's TA...which has rates for 90 seaters.

Thats what I was thinking, American Airlines F100 pay. Based on everything Ive watched Jetblue do, I wouldnt be too concerned. They arent in the business of keeping thier pilots down like those at other airlines. Im sure, POSITIVE, that JetBlue pay on the E190 will be very competetive. Go JB!
