JB future bases?

so what's the rumor on this? when will they open them/where/ for what airplane?

Well, rumor only. I think we will see Orlando open first part of next year. I would guess it would be a 320 base to start and a E190 base 6-12 months later. Now, just a pure guess on the next. I think we will see STL as a base in the future (12+ months away) and it would be both aircraft. FLL I think will always be a 320 only base, JFK both, LGB 320 only and BOS both. The E190 BOS base opens Nov 1st so it will be a 320/E190 base at that time. I hope this helps....Like I said, the first two are only a guess.

Scuttlebut is MCO next but don't expect it in the first half of 2007.

More like later than sooner.

An more like an EMB base.

But that's just my gut feeling and talking to some people who have a spoon in the scheduling bowl.


I believe BOS will suck up a lot of growth for the next 12-18 months and new point to point service will be covered by existing bases.

Wow....I had not heard that yet. I hope its sooner than that. Its fine if BOS grows though. I am headed up there when the 190 base opens in NOV. I miss the 320 already...did not have to commute while flying the BUS
