Is Alpa going to change its merger policy when jb joins? If not, enjoy being stapled to the bottom of ual, dal, or aa.

And why would we be stapled? Please enlighten us with your wisdom.

It won't be a straight staple, but it would feel like it. Ual/cal merged under the new policy and weighting of 30% was given to longevity. Given that jb has only existed since around 1999, you will find that you narrowbody seat combined with longevity will stack-up poorly against any dal and ual. Aa is not Alpa, so who knows.

Otherwise, I think there are tremendous benefits to your joining Alpa. Contract being #1.

I would rather have the staple than the direct relationship selling me down the river with no protection what so ever.

I'll trade you my direct relationship PEA for your Union CBA any day of the week. Your work rules can only be changed by majority vote, ours can and have already been changed by a Bluebooks/comply365 update with no vote or in some cases no notice.

Which one would you choose?
