Hope the following info helps:

Interviewed 1/11

Berniece called today to offer three class dates: 4/14, 4/27 or 5/25 (only 1 class in May).

She said that there are still several people from the JAN interviews whose background check have not been completed.

Classes in MIA, 10-12 per class.

RJ Classes start in June.

Last full Airbus class 5/25.

Good Luck to everyone looking to go Blue!

how will they determine who will go airbus and emb190 from each class

I'm not sure it's seniority. I think they are going to say we have an Airbus class available on X day and a 190 class available on Y day. Of course, your seniority will be better if you take the first available class, no matter which airplane.

They are looking to have the new hires upgrade to Capt in the 190 about 10 months from the hire date, which should offset the low FO pay, so your first 2 years at the company, you will make about the same amount of money no matter which airplane you are in.

When the time comes, I believe the choice is going to be the trainee's. The training date/seniority number they get will be contingent on which aircraft they choose. For example, if everyone were to choose the Bus, the training dates/the abililty to start your seniority will be delayed significantly. Right now with the upgrades on the Bus taking 2-3 years, the new hire would be smart to take the 190-- the pay will work out ahead of a Bus F/O for 2-3 years since upgrade on the 190 will be rapid...

I interviewed with jetBlue on March 8th. We were told that, if successful, we would be the first group to be offered either aircraft.
