Canadian taxes are a bit higher but in exchange they get very decent free healthcare and a government that runs a balanced budget. We will all pay sooner or later.
Before you get to excited about Jazz pay rates ask a Jazz pilot what he pays in taxes.

I wouldn't call Canadian healthcare decent or free.
Ask Liam Neeson about Canadian healthcare.
Why did the Canadian Prime Minister go to Florida for surgery last year?
So lets think for a moment Mr. Joe Smith in Canada needs knee surgury. He doesn't like the wait or the quality of service so he goes to the USA for treatment. Yea Mr. Joe Smith can afford to spend $50k out of pocket for something he can get for near nothing in Canada.
People may go outside Canada for treatment and the government may pay for it under extreme conditions. It doesn't happen very often. I have had two close relatives go through Cancer treatments in Canada. Both have been given a clean bill of health and the cost was $11.
There is no reason people should go BK because they get sick.
Hey ever ask yourself why Majic J. went outside the USA for his Aids treatment?
We might have the "best" health care. Sadly, you probably will never see it, like most people.

as a bonus you get to say "Jahhzzz" in your glee voice everyday
Or we can just get them like Jazz...Don't worry, we won't fly them as "Delta Connection" or "United Express"....

These stats are skewed. It is based on equal access to healthcare for all citizens. If you take out the people that are uninsured, our stats blow everyone else out of the water. Currently about 40 million people out of 300 million are uninsured.
We do have the best health insurance in the world... For those who are insured.
That would be nice but you forgot about a little thing called WHIP SAW that Jazz really doesn't have to contend with.
