Well just checking but does anyone feel that the schedules this month January are just completely poor in build and quality. Last month I had 17 hard days off, January I have 10 days off. What gives? As far as flying the whole month I have less hours blocked in January then December. I do not get this place. I am about ready to leave the industry this is ridiculous. And I am not a junior at all as far as company or aircraft senoirity.

You get a free turkey and this is the thanks you give? You should be more grateful, especially after the holidays. Take your ten days off and crappy lines and be thankful you have a full belly and less time off to be unproductive...

/sarcasm/

See ya later then. Don't let the door hit you on the way out.

No

It is garbage, I agree. Just wait until PBS gets going.

I hope your not serious about "PBS"

you still get the same junk pairing plugged in = the same junk pairings out.

"PBS" only redeeming quaility is the ability to get a day off here or there that scheduling wouldn't approve with your old system.

Senority and PBS do not mix.

Are you at ASA? Have you guys voted PBS in?

Good luck with all your hopes and dreams with PBS.

You're not alone...

I had a great schedule in December and got screwed in January so I don't know what's up, but I'm feeling your pain. Only thing I can think of is there's less flying after the Holidays but I'm sure not going to make any excuses for our excuse for management. Maybe it's their way of punishing us for not voting for the management sponsored not-so-Fab-Four.

I don't usually complain about the schedules because I assume it is a difficult job to put it all together in a way that pleases everyone, but this month was different.

I couldn't help but notice that they chose to take 2 dozen normal 3-day lines that would have 15 days off and added naps hear and there.

The only thing I can come up with is that they purposefully chose to screw us.

To accomplish this feat of having naps thrown into normal lines all they did was take apart a few normal nap lines.

So instead of leaving 3 nap lines be, they chose to screw everyone who holds 3-days.

You cant be serious?

January sucks for all airlines.

You guys continue to make me wonder about your thought process.

Medeco

Beat me too it.

I really enjoy the wailing, moaning and gnashing of teeth. Seems to me though, most of them left Riddle and went straight to ASA. They have idea how crappy it can be. I have news for you fellas... Sure ASA has it's issues and there is always room to improve but there much worse places to be or jobs to do.

He was probably being sarcastic.

16 days off ............88 hours of credit.....................with (p)BS. Not bad for a change. I usually get screwed with (p)BS. Granted, I RON in FAR........but they're two day trips...................I'm not a fan of (p)BS...........if the pairings suck.................well your line sucks. If you guys at ASA have crappy pairings.................(p)BS isn't going to help..................................

Former DFW 700 Captain Here tired of people who have 250 hours thinking they deserve a job because they went to riddle or were an intern. WAS THAT YOU?

No, I think he is tired of those types you speak of complaining all the time about ASA, and is saying if you don't like it here.....head out the door, and do the rest of us a favor.

where are you in the stack?

approximately what number do you bid?

Didn't I just read a memo last week that their is a new person in charge of Crew Planning.....ie K. Watts is out. That might explain some changes in lines.

I'm not going to get drawn into one of these FI.com pissing matches with you. I've never thought I deserved anything. I had 10 times the 250 hours you've labled me with when hired by ASA (which is my 2nd airline and 4th flying job since college, by the way) you claim that I had and no, I was not an intern...so no, that WAS NOT ME. Contrary to your belief, there are other people in this industry, besides you, who have paid dues one way or another. I mean seriously, if you hate it here so bad, and have the means to leave the industry, then why not? If I lost my love of fying and had the means to leave, I'd be long gone. Obviously, you've been around long enough to know that good schedules come and go, as have I. I love the way you can come into a forum where things are to be discussed, and the minute you disagree with someone, you get labled the way that you tried to label me. There are many people in this forum that know who I am and would know that your lable of me is flat out wrong. With that, good day and good luck in Feburary. I'm sure 79%N1 concurs.

I apologize for labeling you. I feel that too many people have paid their dues at his company for some low-time know it all to say suck it up. I have flown with a few of those lately and their FO evals show it. It is those types as well as the lack of integrity of management that have brought the industry in its current state. I do apologized again. I just cannot believe, we as a pilot group cannot set OUR deadline and RULES, OURS not theirs, without us they fail. Plain and simple.

Apology accepted. Now let's just get a contract settled so we can all enjoy our jobs a little more.

Let us see. The Bid Package is produced approx. the 8th of every month. Karin did not even take the job until about the 15th of Dec. I doubt that she had anything to do with it. Karin use to build the pairs and lines about a year ago.
