UAL Corporation (Nasdaq: UAUA), the holding company whose primary subsidiary is United Airlines, announced today that Jane F. Garvey, former administrator of the Federal Aviation Administration, is joining the UAL Board of Directors effective September 23.
The Star Chamber. I'm sure her decisions while in charge of the FAA were fair and balanced, with no thought of someday getting hired by the airlines she took care of for a big big payoff. Is there no one who's not in it for themselves?

Exactly. Using public service to gain access to private industry. The old hoars just keep passing themselves around. Goes all the way back to the Roman Empire, BTW.

Kind of like the certain ex-head of a large pilot union leaving there, going to be a consultant for airlines who are negotiating with that same union, and now is in charge of a large regulatory agency. Gross
