Well I would have to say that Mr.B is way outa line. I never said that Jalways was a bad job. I never even came close to implying it. Where you got that idea I have no fricken clue.
All I said was that I have family that fly for JAL, (why somebody would lie about that, I don't know, especially considering it did not help me, (yet)) Previously, THEY (JAL) did not consider foreign citizens. This is JAL, NOT Jalways, They operate as seperate companys. When I say JAL, I do not imply contract employment, as is with Jalways. A number of years ago, JAL hired many foreign citzens, but they changed their policy about 10 years ago. Maybe they have changed this again recently. Considering they were going through seniority integration with JAS shortly ago, with possible lay offs considered, while also operating their own entire flight academy to train local cadets, I wouldn't think so, but they do have quite a number of retirements coming up.
I would happily apply to Jalways through PARC/Wasinc if I had the heavy experience, but I do not.
If anybody thinks the above is "BS", call JAL (NOT Jalways through PARC/Wasinc) but JAL recruitment, and ask them.
I would be a very happy camper if JAL has indeed changed their hiring practices. As with JAL, I would be more competitive than with Jalways.
Good luck to those who choose to apply to either, if both are indeed interviewing.
