If you go to www.google.com and type example JAA license in Florida, You will get about 100 plus schools what have this type of training. Some even have DE on hand.

Naples Air Center

Try their website.

They seem pretty competent, and their prices are reasonable. I'm going to enroll in their coon to come distant learning class for the ATP written certificates. My concern though is how do you get a JAA medical in the US!? If you know of a JAA DPE let me know! Oh, and there is another school in southern California too, but they don't look that good. Can't remember the name.

Try comair:

To get JAA license try Comair in Florida, they have all type of licenses, about Naples Air Center, I instructed there for a while and they are not as good as they advice, just my opinion though.
Comair has even the MCC course required by the JAA.

Fly safe.

• JAA Private Pilot License
• JAA Night Qualification
• Instrument Meteorological Conditions (IMC) - Optional
• Structured Hours Building
• JAA ATPL Theoretical Knowledge Course
• JAA Commercial Pilot License
• JAA Instrument Rating
• Multi-Crew Cooperation Course
• JAA Flight Instructor

These are the JAA licences and ratings

what's the difference between IMC rating and an Instrument Rating?

does IMC come before IR?

another question, what's the cheapest way to go about getting both JAA and FAA licences?

is there an intergrated course that has 1 flight hour for both systems, and then lets you take 2 different tests to get two different licences?

lastly, will JAA allow a pilot to fly in Europe without restrictions? or would you country-spefici CAA licences...i.e. Will a JAA licence allow you to fly in the UK without restrictions, commerically or privately?

Another good source is NAR, which is the source of the only JAA Instructor book - part of it is on their website.
They also have a good JAA/FAA program with most of the flight training in the US.
Their site is: http://www.nordic-aviation.com/

I got these organizations from a British Pilot magazine.

Naples Air Center (www.naples-air-center.com)
European Flight Training (www.europeanflighttraining.com)
Orlando Flight Training (www.flyorlandoflorida.com)
Ormond Beach Aviation (www.flyoba.com)
Britannia Flight Center(www.britanniaflightcenter.com)
Comair Aviation Academy (www.comairacademy.com)

As you can see, florida is FULL of JAA approved flight schools. So your best bet is to have a field trip and visit all these places and find out which one you like the most.

All of these offer FAA AND JAA certificates.

I'm interested myself in going to one of them to get both certificates...
