Can anyone please tell me if you are an offline J/S (CASS Approved) and sign up for the J/S for a particular flt. and it has a scheduled stop with the same flight number all the way thru to your final destination, are you protected for that seat? Question goes for both a seat in the back or the cockpit seat.

ie- flt number 1234 from STL-stop in BHM(same flt #)- final destination FLL.

TIA

I would say yes, either way.

Unless a SWA pilot shows up for the jumpseat then your out. SWA does have two jumpseats so then you would be alright albeit in the uncomfortable seat.

You are protected but company personal would come first if theres a conflict. Plus some times the ops agent doesnt log you in the DR and when you get to the next stop they may have 2 guys that signed up for the jumpset not knowing your already on board.

Just make sure the Captain knows where you are going. If there is a crew change its always nice to come up and re introduce yourself to the next Captain so he knows your back there.
