x402 is right. You might get ahead of the game if you dig a little. This might even get your foot in the door.

But a new day is dawning at FLOPS. If you can come here and hang in a couple of years until our first contract is signed, this is going to be a great place to work. Good luck in your job search!

FR, I take a more optimistic outlook for your contract time frame. (Personal observation here, no inside scoop.) When analyzing the NJ experience you need to look at how long it took under SU and 1108 leadership, instead of the entire length of the contract battle. Unfortunately, due to apathy and poor leadership, much time was wasted. I don't see that happening to the Flt Ops pilots. You have the advantage of belonging to a dedicated frac local, that the NJ pilots didn't start out with, and the lessons they learned to guide you. Organizing yourselves shows a lot of motivation so apathy certainly isn't a problem. True, you're building your own SU from the ground up, but hard work and a good blueprint (provided by 1108) will move the process along.

I echo your Good Luck wishes to all pilots seeking employment right now, and add my Best Wishes to the Options pilots as they go for their first contract.
