Ahhh, I love this.

It is truly a luxury to fly for a company that is still being run by it's founder. We can benefit from his business savvy and long-term vision.

But the boss can also get bit in the ass.

In the case of Fred Smith, he bites back:

Europe story.


On the one hand: go Fred! Tell those Europeans where to stick it!

On the other hand: Hey Fred!....You know that the new pilot contract will not even come close to those EU regs, right? American labor is relatively cheap nowadays.....just sign the dang thing and get on with it!

Man, I feel like those old AA guys with Crandall....."Yep, he's a bastard, but at least he's OUR bastard!"
