Hey guys,
I am trying to drum up all the info I can before I go meet with our JAG. Is the AF the only service affected by Stop Loss? I think that is correct, but not for sure. I don't want to discriminate, but I am looking for pilot types(AFSC's) stuck in Stop Loss only. Thanks for any help / info.

Good luck to all trying to escape!

The only info I know is what I've seen on this board and that is:

AF is stop lossed and Marine KC-130 pilots.

How can this be? If you find out let me know.

I'm sure we would all be VERY interested to hear what your JAG has to say.

Let us know

You're not alone, the Army has a stop loss for their pilots. Not sure about the Navy. Marine Corps hasn't instituted one yet.

Good luck, but I'm not sure the JAG is going to be able to help you with stop-loss with the "fairness of application between the services" angle. Stop-loss is an administrative policy, and unless it violates a federal statute in application (EEO laws or something like it) it would be difficult to override. You're probably better off trying for the waiver or CONGRINT, a legal challenge isn't going anywhere.

No Stop-Loss for Navy Pilots. Marine KC-130 pilots are in fact Stop-Lossed.

On a side note, after the attacks I explored getting back into the Navy and they were not interested (I am and was a current reservist). Either they didn't like me or didn't need me!

Good Luck.

Oops! The Herc bubbas! I knew that...sorry guys, just incipient old-person's brain degradation.

ETX,

Not entirely sure, I'm Marine Corps (just retired). I've been following the saga on the ATPAP site. It's definitely their Warrant Officers in 64's, 60's, and 47's. Maybe their commissioned pilots and 58 guys as well. TF160 guys are caught up in it too.

One interesting thing that happened recently was that the Army involuntarily, and with no notice, activated several 47 pilots from the IRR. How'd you like to find that letter in your mail box?

Me, I'm on the hook for recall for the next 17 years. Got to stay trim so those uniforms will fit. Semper fi...

47 pilots aren't the only ones to get involuntarily recalled. i know of several 60 pilots that have recieved the fed ex from the army as well...
