I've flown with said individual. Although we can all have our opinions about the the length of training/experience from 0 time to airline pilot, there was nothing about her flying that indicated she was incompetent. I've flown with people who have a more diverse and full background that couldn't quite live up their resume. And NO, we DON'T have to go round and round beating that dead horse.

as for this girl - looks like she switched careers. she was born in 1973 and did start to fly until 2007. hope she can go back to her first career when the suck a$$ reality of a future in this industry sets in. also where the he!! is she living in CA on a coex FO salary?

Yep, a career changer. But just like most other regional FO's, she commuted.

Maybe she goes for the ladies.... :)

From what I remember, that's not the case.

She said her instructor was available 24 hours a day....no sh!t! He was ready for some real one on one training.

She logged 1500 hours including the minimums for all the ratings and certificates in 11 months????

Thats 140 hours a month, EVERY month! Over 4 hours of flight time, every day, 7 days a week for 11 months!

BS![/QUOTE

Its sad that you are dumb enough to assume that she logged 1500 hours to get AN FO JOB. She said she went from "never having touched a plane" to "flying a 50 seat regional jet". She only needs a commercial/instrument.

This thread reeks with jealousy. So she is a fairly good looking girl who loves to fly planes, so what if she got her fo job in a year. So far all the bitching is about sh1t that doesn't matter. If she is a good pilot, what difference does it make how long it took her to become one. You jealous it took you longer? No one here is saying they flew with her and she sucks. Which should be the only way to have a right to say anything or have it matter.

This thread was a waste of my time. BTTTB find something else to do. Maybe a whorehouse....topless bar..something.

I'm glad I wasn't the only one that noticed that. I guess I might be willing to work overtime for the right student...

She needs a makeover with special attention to that hair. It looks as though she missed her wake-up call and threw that uniform on to rush down stairs for her van ride.

browntothebone is just tired of people giving him a hard time because he was hired based solely on race, so he is trying to flood the workforce with other people hired based on race/gender. That might be why he hangs out at regional forums. You really shouldn't feel bad about it. Your just taking advantage of a crooked system.

I know this pilot. She's actually been furloughed for a long time now, like last year. She's is for real. Actually one of the best individuals that I have known in this industry. I believe she also set some kind of record for finishing the program in like 2 months. I'm curious as to how she got this ATP "campaign" deal though she is easy on the eyes...

Sorry if this offends you, but less than a year from zero to right seat of a Part 121 airliner is not right. Maybe she's the sharpest thing out there since Ginsu knives, but I don't believe it's possible for one to gain adequate experience in that short a time span. Fill all of the required squares, yes - but that's all. The system is seriously broken, and the continuing Wal-Martization of the industry is only going to exacerbate it. I think I'll drive...

Especially not after being trained by the worthless, apathetic ATP instructors to just pass the checkride and flying around logging passenger time in the Seminole as multi-PIC.

I bet she barely made 3 decisions for herself the entire time she's been flying airplanes.

scary.

And people wonder why F/O pay is crap?
She has the piece of paper and now learning to fly at the airlines. Captain pay needs to double if we are going to be doing flight instruction at the same time. I hope the feds require all airline pilots to hold ATP's. Some 135 time would do the whole industry good.
