Pardon me but I question your airline industry knowledge and your personal airline experience if you think JetBlue's management is "arrogant" in the vein of historical "arrogance" in this industry.

If anything, JetBlues Leadership has been accessible, understanding, aggressively reactive when needed and has demonstrated a willingness to address employee's concerns.

Your spouting off calling them arrogant demonstrates your ignorance of other airline's histories, corporate culture and labor/mgt relations.

Maybe you need to go back and do some more research?

With emphasis on has, they do not seem to be so now. JR has been heard loud and clear by many, his statements are not made in a vacuum, nor has he been reined in by DB.

The jetblue culture of the past and the jetblue culture of the current are vastly different, who knows what it will be in the future?

Yes.. can't disagree with some of your concern with your statement.

I think the reality is the bean counters and JB leadership realize that the amount of feel-good cash they can throw around for employee benefits/compensation is vaporizing just as fast as $104 barrel oil is rocketing skyward.

So...
Reality bites..
If you really want to make some $$$$ in this industry, fire up your UPS/FDX applications.

Work rules frozen..... in negotiations for the next four years....Mgmt: "So you want more money? well give us something to work with....like 50% pay for WX and MX cxld flights instead of the current 100%. Trips paid at just block, cause your gonna make more right? instead of block or better. You missed a commute...oh we're sorry, you loose a day off and a day's pay and have to make it up to us!"
How low has Spirit Alpo been at the table? 4+ yrs?

With fuel as expensive as it is, if they play that game, their gas bill is going to skyrocket when guys start flying at .84 to make block.

What is wrong with an in-house union at JetBlue who's goal is to represent the interests of every pilot here while maintaining a good relationship with our leadership?

My friend, this is a natural evolution in the fututre of this company.
