I don't know if any of the pilots know the answer to this one. It's all a mystery what goes on outside of ops.

I know they have a classs starting at the end of this month. But there are people in the pool have been in it for over a year.

I also heard they are getting Q400s. is this just a rumor, or is there anything official from WP yet?

Not a rumor, WP is getting 3 maybe 4 Q400's, with the first delivery in February. Island air has already sent the check airmen up to Horizon for training. 8 more captains and 5 FO's are scheduled for training at Horizon the 1st of February.

First 400 arrives 2/10/06, will be used for proving runs, training, etc.

First revenue service 3/14/06. Will be used for what the company calls a 1/2 day schedule, whatever that means.

Last word from the company was a class of 14 1/30/06...possibly another class of "about 10" in February and another possibly in March.

400's will now be used for expansion and not merely to replace 100's...at least that's the plan for now.

I expect a member of the last class that started this past Oct to be the number 1 FO on the 100 by summer...P.B for those of you with access to a seniority list.

It'll be interesting for sure.

This is assuming that the company can handle all this expansion better than it did when we broke out of the three-line-days and started KOA service.

Well said! Our marketing better get on the ball or all these new aircraft will be flying around empty

Interviewing again?

They had an ad in yesterdays paper I think it was 1000/200.

I don't get it? Didn't they just interview over 30 people in December? and they didn't find enough people to go into their pool? What are they looking for?

If the rumors are true, that instead of replacing aircraft 1:1 (sending back one 100 for every 400 received) they add the 400's and not send the 100's back, we'll need everyone in that pool plus more!
