Was flying from OKC to PHX earlier this month and someone called "Golden Gate" was infront of us heading west. A few other planes on freq. asked if they were Virgin America, but got no answer. Wazup? Any one know who this one is?

I heard the same shizzle 2 weeks ago from COS-IAH. I queried over the freq and no response. I finally asked ATC who they were. All ATC told me was it was an A320. I think that it is, but then again I heard the callsign "Presidential" yesterday and have no idea who they are either.

Presidential--PRD for the ATC code--flies Lears for charter. Lear 55s and Lear 60s I believe.

Bye Bye--General Lee

Isn't Presidental the 757 outfit out of Vegas that does White House press flights?

I think you are thinking of Primaris (sp?). They have paper orders for a bunch of airplanes but nothing really going on for them from what I can gather. Good ol' Randy Babbit is part of the mgmnt. team.

Golden Gate is a charter outfit. I spoke with one of their pilots on a layover. I don't think Virgin is operating under a 121 certificate just yet.

i hear mesaba is changing their callsign to take it up the A$$ and NWA will be screw them hard.
