Is CHQ in CASS?

Trying to get home on a long layover..... the flight is operated as an American Connection flight, if that makes a difference...

Republic Airways Holdings airlines (Shuttle America, Republic, CHQ) are not in CASS as of today. There was a memo to all crews about 2 weeks ago saying they are working with the IT department to get all crewmember's info updated. Apparently we will also have to supply passport info when they get the database up and running. It did sound like the company had already contracted with Airinc to get TSA approval, but as always it will be a matter of time as everything is still inhouse at this point.

I have heard of a few CASS pilots riding in CHQ jumpseats on the American operation. If you can get past the gate agent I would not have a problem with it...but some might. Some of our pilots have taken JSers and others have left them.

I hate leaving people...but there is NO WAY this company would support you if you take offline J/S'ers before we're CASS. And yes...I do commute.

If its not in your FOM/Ops Specs you are not authorized any pilot verified through CASS in your jumpseat. It will be your penalty if the FAA finds out.
