Anybody heard any rumors of Aloha hiring or any future plans? What is going on with there cargo ops? I heard they're looking to contract it out.

Are you in the pool?


As far as thoughts about starting class while parts of the company are being sold off - I know of several people that are worried and putting out resumes. Past that, I don't know what to tell you. Most of us are in the dark about the company's future plans.

Yep, in the pool and as of a few hours ago making my way to the shallow end.

Not that the recent news and rumors don't make me concerned, but the opportunity is still a great one, and I am thinking that I will take the chance.

I understand that us line pilots are never shown the "big picture" but none the less I value your insights and opinions. Just curious (and not trying to re-start previous discussion) are the folks with apps out mostly commuters or are the home-grown folks getting that concerned as well?

Congrats on the class date! And, welcome! There are alot of really nice people here, as I'm sure you've already learned.

I try not to classify the pilots here in terms of them being commuters or locals. No sense trying to develop an "us versus them" mentality. So, I don't really know who is creating backup plans. I've just heard alot of mumbling about it.
