Citrus: don't waste your time on W.Pecker. He's trolled the board for a long time with his "genuine" AirTran questions.
For example, why title the thread with a 737-800 question to ask a question about our retirement?
Just leave him be.

No -800s. We have firm orders for 73 737's, 21 -ish of which have been delivered. That leaves options for 27 more 737-700's. The options can be converted to -800's with 18 months notice to The Boeing Co, at an already negotiated price.

In a perfect world we would have a rock solid A plan, plus our current B-fund, plus a 401k match and profit sharing. Also through in some stock or options for good measure.

Instead we have a B-fund that currently puts 10.5% of our w-2 wages in an account with our name on it at a third party investment brokerage. It isn't perfect, but it is better then some, and it is in my name, and no one but my wife can lay claim to it.

One of my old neighbors was a retired UAL guy, he used to talk about how good it was if you made it to retirement- big fat check each month, plus the lump sum!!! When I got in this game that is what I was hoping for, but I think we all realize it is probably gone forever. In light of that, we are trying to get as much as we can.

I am sorry that you feel I am playing but to be honest I am sharing my log in with 5 other people at work, all who are trying to get a job with you. I agree that the post seem silly and retread but the truth is the ohers are not searching before posting questions. Some of the post are on the second/third page and they just psot instead of clicking the next page to read.

I think the only time they post is when they are drinking like most of us which is also an issue. The 737 question was a real question and so was the retirement as we all believe our phone call might be coming due to positive thinking and trying to think of legit questions to ask during an interview.

If you think that I am still playing with dads computer then you can also assume that I am just trying to upset AAI by asking unreal questions such as retirement, contract, fleet plans since all are an issue to every applicant and current employee. Sorry to disturb your computer time and thanks to the others who have helped out your info really did help us out.
