Amazing, simply amazing. How does a publically traded company not protect themselves from something like this happening? This should thoroughly embarrass management.

Sorry to tell you Booger, but our E-Team has the "embarrassed" market cornered but they don't know it yet.

What happened??? Did abx mechanics not do a prebuy on it?

They did. Rumor and I emphasize rumor, has it that the airplane was not as inspected when they went to pick it up. Rumor also has it that for political reasons the decision was made to go through with the purchase and then sell the dog, even though this would result in a loss.

ABX Air Inc. has acquired another Boeing 767 freighter from Delta Air Lines and is paying for it with a $15.75 million, 10-year loan from Chase Equipment Leasing Inc., the company said today in a filing with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission.

The money will also pay for modifications to the aircraft.

The loan is the seventh such arrangement ABX has made with Chase since August 2006 for acquisitions of 767 aircraft.

Wilmington-based ABX derives more than 90 percent of its revenue from DHL and is seeking to expand its business with other customers.
