I completely agree to what everyone has said here. I thought I was paid to make operational decisions like this; apparently the people in accounting know more about aviation than me. Thanks for all the good input. May have to take this to the higher-ups.


Not unusual at all, especially in bigger companies.

I always found its sometimes best to circumvent the bean counters and express your needs to the people who matter (without whining)

OR....just buy what you NEED and explain it later. Everyone knows its better to explain than it is to ask.

We aren't talking about huge purchases here.
