2013 is what I am hearing. Intl training starts in spring of 2012.

Int'l training? Like what? It's not like you're going to be doing crossings for crying out loud. Going to the Bahamas and Mexico is about as challenging as going to ORD!

Why is this whole "Int'l" thing being discusses like it's some kind of tactical arrival into a warzone?

Don't accept vectors, stay on the airway, learn to plan your own let down from cruise......training complete!

You have 24 yr old RJ Capt's at regional carriers successfully flying non-precision approaches into SLW every day. What's the big deal? I'm not taking anything away from those regional guys either. They do it plenty well! It's just not that demanding.
