Johnson’s predecessor, Jeff Pinneo, who held the airline’s top post for nearly nine years before retiring at 54, said the airline had achieved many of its goals, safe operations, on-time performance and customer satisfaction, under his watch, but the financial part still needed to be accomplished.

Silly Jeff, safe operations are for kids. Adults have real goals like financial gains and returns.

Delta Airlines, wants to sell its Comair subsidiary.

Hey General, you can buy Comair and then park all the 50 seaters. Yea!

That path involves reducing the size of the airline’s fleet, eliminating jets and substituting more fuel-efficient turboprops. It includes possible outsourcing of heavy maintenance, consolidating more common functions with Alaska Airlines, cutting pilot costs to match industry standards, and perhaps even eliminating Horizon as its own brand.

Where did this person get the info that Delta wants to sell Comair? Delta has never publicly stated it yet. Although I do believe that is the case.
