NJW

A little paranoid aren't we? Many favor discretion. You seem to believe you have all the answers and that life will go on just peachy because that is the way it is suppose to be. Hardly... Life is full of difficulties; few families go untouched by sickness and/or death. Just another reason for pilots to have a voice in their career--a part of life they can have some control over.

... Your continuous pretentious comments of your "blind faith" in a document only limits your acquisition of knowledge that will help you deal with more difficult times ahead. A legally guaranteed professional compensation package helps families weather life's storms and save for rainy days ahead. But it's not just the document, it's also the commitment behind it. The NJ pilots are the Union. They and their families have stood together thru tough times already and their contract proves they are better off for doing so. Knowledge gained from past difficulties can help you deal with future ones.

We are not needed if we don't have customers and too many of them have headed out the door. Cutting the budget is common in hard times so it's not surprising that some NJ owners have had to leave or downsize their share. Doesn't matter what a piece of paper says, without somebody paying the bills, we get nothing and need to move on.

Stating "we", means you are employed at NJ?

You're unusually pessimistic if so .... :erm: DS has made progress in turning things around. Consolidation is on track and that will $ave even more. NJASAP leaders recently met w/upper management and will provide an update in Friday's 411.

Communication is enhanced by knowing fellow posters' connection to the industry. Knowing the baseline (or lack thereof) makes it easier to understand where a person is coming from. I chose my FI name to make my own connection to the frac community (our family's income and schedule rely on the NJ contract) clear to all FI members. Many here openly discuss their tie to the industry because it establishes credibility and helps avoid confusion.

For example .... Some FI members had forgotten that early on in his posting here B19 volunteered that he is employed at Avantair and later clarified that he is no longer flying, but is in management instead. That info helps readers put his anti-union posts in perspective. But some have better memories than others, and some missed those posts....so confusion over his connection to the industry resurfaces periodically. That wouldn't happen if he had gone with Avantairmanager instead. :p
