This is great news. Now I get to spend $65 for my one in a million CHANCE for an interview!! I already used my free application (for Frontier). Any guesses on how much of that $65 goes into the pocket of Delta?

You can save the $60 and fill out a whole new app. Took me about 2 hours of cutting and pasting. (Hey, I just made $30/hr!)

Please explain how you did this. Maybe I'm not doing it right but when I log in, it doesn't give me the opportunity to fill out a whole new app. It just goes right into my existing app.

Thanks.

That's a quandary alright. Where will
you graduation from? Life University?

Eventually ERAU. I took night classes at MacDill AFB while slinging bags for UAL corp. 6 years. It was the only way I could get an education while working 60 hours a week to claw my way into this business.

Thanks for asking!

Pilotyip, where are you?

Goggles - you beat me to the punch. I was just thinking the same thing...wondering when pilotyip's rants are going to start up about not needing a 4 year degree to be competitive in today's market. Hey pilotyip, you're right....NOT! (in a Borat voice).

Fellas - you're missing the whole point. Just like anything else, who you know will play huge in you getting an interview. Come on - to think different is just naive. Who you know is true in all of today's major industries, airline or not.

So does anyone know what the hiring process will be like? Will people have a chance based on qualifications or is it strictly who you know like CAL? Living in central Jersey I'd love JFK 767 Int'l but unfortunately I don't know anyone at DAL. Any ideas from those with a lot more knowledge than myself?

I wouldn't plan on holding the 767ER (Int'l) for a few years. But, the new hires will get the 737-800 and MD-88 in ATL or NYC. The NYC 88 is 90% LGA 10% JFK. The -800 has a bunch of EWR flying.

Hey General,
Any idea what the hiring schedule is? I heard Jon Swift is returning to run the new hire program? Any news on that front? I was in the training department and took a leave in 04' I went to build some 121 time at a regional and now am hoping to get back. I am thinking of waiting till DL exits BK and wait out the Hostile takeover storm.

Any thoughts?

Thanks
