Where can I find info online on different types of Senecas (i.e. I, II, III...). General differences, specs and engines etc.

Tried searching, but can't seem to find any one page that has everything, just a lot of aircraft sales.

Basicaly, a Seneca is a Cherokee Six with two engines.

The Seneca one is normally aspirated, with counter rotating 200 hp fuel injected engines. The last 200 lbs of load needs to be gas. Manual flaps, integral electric hydraulic pump for the gear. Emergency gear extension is free-fall. The other models have turbochargers. The new "five" has some nice improvements, but it is very much the same genome. These are solid light twins, and great trainers.

Is that enough?

Thanks for the input. I already know all that though having flown Senecas, I was wondering if someone had a nice website where the different types of Senecas could be compared? I was trying to search on Google, but couldn't seem to find what I was looking for.

I only have a Seneca I manual at home and was looking to compare the I, II and III specifications etc.

Airplane Info

Try:

www.risingup.com

Select 'Performance Database'.

This site has performance and general info on almost every common GA plane. May be not as detailed as you like though.

good luck

Here's a REAL quick explanation...

Seneca- Lyc IO-360s, pretty much a dog, slow and don't climb too good...

Seneca II changed to TCM Turbocharged engines. I beleive these were wimple fixed wastegate turbos. A good bit fater, and finally got some performance.

Seneca III a few changes, but basically a II. New instrument panel (one big flat piece of aluminum without the plastic overlay), also has a one piece windshield.

Seneca IV New Interior again, and asymetric engine inlets (the little circular inlets)

Seneca V New panel (switches above the windscreen), and I think this is where the new turbo controllers were put in, real simple turbo operation--put teh throttles someplace and the MAP stays there...

That's about all I know.

Dan
